Laila Rashid is the Business Development Director at MunirCPA.ca, where she plays a pivotal role in expanding the firm’s client base, strengthening community relationships, and driving strategic growth across Canada’s tax and accounting sector. With a proven record of leadership, program management, and client engagement, Laila brings a unique blend of corporate, social development, and administrative expertise to the firm.

Before joining MunirCPA.ca, Laila built an impressive career across Canada and internationally. She has served as Secretary of LR Consultants Canada Inc., Client Support Specialist at OWS Law Canada, and Program Manager at TCM Canada. Her leadership journey also includes serving as Executive Director at TCM Bangladesh and Deputy Program Manager at BNWLA Shelter Management, where she oversaw critical programs supporting survivors of domestic violence, sexual abuse, and trafficking.

Laila’s contributions to social development have earned her multiple recognitions, including the “Prominent Young Leader in Social Development” award for her work in eliminating violence against women and children. She has participated in the prestigious International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) of the U.S. Department of State and contributed to the development of the National Protocol on Minimum Standards of Care for survivors of abuse and trafficking across SAARC countries, funded by USAID.

Her academic achievements include a Graduate Diploma in Assaulted Women and Children Counselor/Advocate Program (AWCCA) with honours, along with membership in the American Society of Public Administration (ASPA). She has also conducted environmental and public health research at the National Institute of Social and Preventive Medicine (NIPSOM) in Bangladesh.

Laila is an active member of several respected organizations, including YWCA Greater Toronto, Amnesty International Canada, and the Red Crescent Society. She has completed specialized training in Non‑Violent Crisis Intervention, First Aid & CPR‑C, and Psycho‑Social First Aid through the Canadian Red Cross.
